I have a simple life.
A life with limited complexity.
A life with limited drama.
A life with limited cash
where I must budget
to buy new towels
or a new rug
or a non-fat latte.
But seriously.
I love my life.
I sit on my patio
in my $25 chair
looking out over the neighborhood.
The kids playing in our yard...
kickball
the color game
kick the can
baseball.
It doesn't get much better than this.
I really love my life.
I sit in the same chair
at the baseball fields
watching our kids
play
and
learn.
I cheer my own kids.
We all cheer each other's kids.
I see the delight in my kids' faces
when they get a hit
field a ball
do their best.
I see the same delight in my kids' faces
when their teammates get a hit
field a ball
do their best.
I realize how, as parents, we are doing something right.
I really, really love my life.
I sit in the same chair
across from my husband
talking
and
laughing.
We speak of our goals
our dreams
our hopes.
We speak of what we want for our kids
and ourselves.
We speak of what we don't want for our kids
and ourselves.
We realize we are right where we are supposed to be.
And how lucky we are.
I really, really, really love my life.
I connect with my incredible friends.
I realize how incredibly lucky I am to have
such an incredible core of people
who love me unconditionally
who support me whole-heartedly
who make me laugh uncontrollably.
Buffie, Carol, Terry, Mary, Dawn, Carolyn,
Amy, Lisa, Dan, Dawna, Kim, Ann, Brian.
I am so blessed.
I really, really, really, really love my life.
I don't have much materially.
But I sure have a lot.
More than I ever thought I'd have.
I really, really, really, really, really love my life.
